Chelsea Fay is a trained Goldsmith and Metalworker, having received her BFA from the Rochester Institute of Technology School For American Crafts in 2013. Chelsea has spent her post-graduate years working as a Goldsmith and Bench jeweller for various artists as well as running her own small business. Chelsea's work continues to employ the use of various precious and semi-precious metals to create pieces that address form and function while paying particular attention to surface embellishment and decorative pattern. Colour, contrast, and geometry play a large role in Chelsea's work and she is inspired largely by organic patterns in nature, complex microscopic formations, as well as colourful Scandinavian design.
Chelsea has recently taken a sabbatical from her jewellery- driven life to move to the UK where she is currently studying Surface Pattern Design & Printed Textiles at Leeds Arts University.
